STARZ TO PRESENT PREMIERE SCREENINGS OF ‘PAINKLLER JANE’
AND ‘FOG CITY MAVERICKS’ AT 47TH MONTE CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL
MONTE CARLO, April 24, 2007 – Starz will have a major presence at the upcoming 47th Monte Carlo Television Festival (10-14 June 2007), with the European premiere screening of “Painkiller Jane,” the new Sci Fi Network series with star Kristanna Loken slated to attend.
In addition, Starz will showcase the world premiere screening of “Fog City Mavericks,” a documentary about filmmakers in the San Francisco area that will air on Starz this fall. John Hyde, Vice Chairman of Starz Media, will attend the Festival as a judge in the competition. Kent Rice, President and COO of Starz Media will also attend, along with Gary Leva, director of “Fog City” and Tom Southwick, Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Government Relations for Starz, LLC.

Other highlights of the 47th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, presided over H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, include the international television program competition and Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony, the Opening Ceremony screening of Dick Wolf’s new HBO movie “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,” glamorous receptions and parties organized by some of the major European networks and studios which all contribute to the magical atmosphere of Monaco. More than 300 journalists from around the world are present to cover this unique international television festival attended by the creative forces of the industry. |
