Sydne Rome has been one of Europe’s leading actresses over the past 20 years. Although she was born in Akron, Ohio, she has made 48 European films, many television series, written 5 books and produced and directed videos, and has done CDS in 5 languages.
One film led to another. The beginning of her career was in 1973 doing the lead in a Roman Polanski film,"What?" starring with Marcello Mastroianni. Her career then took her to every country in Europe and she worked with Europe’s leading directors. She is also well known in Japan.
Sydne has written 5 books on health, and was the first to bring aerobics to Europe. Her books and CDS have been published in 20 languages and have been on the best seller lists all over Europe. Her video was the first golden video in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and France. She has 2 gymnastic videos still on the market.
Sydne’s home has been Roma, Italy for the past 15 years. She speaks 5 languages: Italian, French, Spanish, German, and, of courses, English. As her base has been Italy, she has, in the last 7 years worked mostly for Italian TV - RAI and Mediaset. She has done TV series, Daily talk shows, and written her own health series for RAI.
During her career, she has represented many famous publicity campaigns all over Europe.
Sydne is married to an Italian Professor of Medicine since 1988 and has adopted two Brasilian girls, Vanessa and Jesse.
