The 47th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, under the honorary presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, will be held 10-14 June 2007. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday June 10.

“We are extremely honored to present this movie for its international premiere screening.  HBO represents creativity and quality at every stage of television production”, Tomatis said.

“The Festival is one of the preeminent international showcases for today’s global television programming, and I am personally thrilled and honored that we have been selected for the Opening Ceremony,” said executive producer Dick Wolf.

“We are proud to have brought Dee Brown’s acclaimed book to the screen and to shed light on an important period in American history.  We are delighted to return to the Festival,  and I cannot think of a more prestigious venue to unveil the film to an international audience,” said HBO Films president Colin Callender.

The five-day Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place at the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco and will be attended by talent and professionals from the creative areas of television throughout the world.

Dick Wolf, executive producer of “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,” will be attending along with executive producer Tom Thayer, director Yves Simoneau (“Napoleon”), and stars Adam Beach (who also stars on Wolf’s NBC series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”) and August Schellenberg (“The New World”).

The cast includes Aidan Quinn (HBO Films’ “Empire Falls”), Adam Beach (Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of Our Fathers”, also stars on Wolf’s NBC series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), August Schellenberg (“The New World”), J.K.
