Synopsis:
Algernon is a little white lab mouse whose intelligence has increased tenfold thanks to an experimental treatment. He now speeds through all of the labyrinths that he’s given and he keeps getting smarter.
Emboldened by their success, two researchers attempt to apply their discovery to Charles, a retarded adult who will become the first human guinea pig to receive the treatment.
The results are immediate, Charles becomes more intelligent. However, the side effects and the dramatic consequences of the experiment quickly destabilize him.
What will Charles choose? To go back to the person he was before, the person that he always been deep down? Or, will he choose to become a lab rat forever?
